DESCRIPTION

As a System Engineering Intern, you will be a part of a team that is responsible for development of MIMO related physical-layer features in 4G-LTE and 5G-NR. You will (1) define features and requirements, (2) explore and propose concepts & algorithms, (3) develop and simulate models to ensure robust functionality & performance, and/or (4) contribute to power- & area-efficient realization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a M.S. or Ph.D. degree program in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Availability for 6 months or longer.
  • Solid foundations in signal processing and communication theory, such as filter design, OFDM, MIMO techniques, signal/parameter estimation and detection.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid grasp of engineering mathematics, including linear algebra, probability and random processes.
  • Experience with Matlab, C/C++ and/or Python for algorithm development, modeling, and link-level simulation.
  • Strong teamwork spirit, respect for diverse viewpoints, ability to effectively communicate (in English) and work with a globally located team across different time-zones.
  • Eagerness to learn new things and take up new challenges.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • In addition, candidates with strengths in one or more of the following areas will be given preference.


    • Familiarity with MIMO, self-interference cancellation and other 6G related research and development topics.

    • Familiarity with cellular communication standards, in particular 4G-LTE and 5G-NR RAN1/RAN4, including PHY procedures.
    • Familiarity with RF impairments.
