OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Breedon Cement, Kinnegad.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to work with a leading organisation on a number of exciting and challenging projects.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

  • Awareness of health and safety requirement.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and engineering drawing.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Good intrapersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team or as an individual.
  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 2.1 grade.
Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Plan major annual plant shutdowns.
  • Management of contractors completed various project and maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to deliver on all key performance indicators.
  • Assist in the execution of planned, preventive, predicative and breakdown maintenance activities associated with all equipment.
  • Proactive approach to problem identification and problem solving applying a collaborative approach in conjunction with all team members.
  • Assist in troubleshooting plant issues as they arise & seeks to identify resolutions for same.
  • Assist in conducting feasibility studies on improvement projects with an emphasis on creating safer working environments, understanding the environmental impact, production cost and quality.
