Description Job Title: Center Aide Department: Early Learning FLSA Status: Exempt General Statement of Duties: The Center Aide plays a vital role in supporting the overall functioning of the early education program. This position involves assisting teachers in daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe environment, and interacting positively with children and families. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Support Teachers and Assistant Teachers in daily classroom activities and routines. Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure safety and engagement. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized classroom and play areas. Engage with children in activities to promote learning and development. Communicate with families and provide support where needed NOTE: The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by the position in this job classification. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Requirements Education, Training and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. CDA in Infant/Toddler or Preschool (or ability to obtain within program timeframe) preferred, relevant college coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field. Experience working with young children in a group setting preferred. Technology Usage: Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, and Office 365 programs. Other duties as assigned by program management. To that end, all staff are responsible for participating in special community or recruitment days. Some of these days may be weekends, and staff are still required to participate. The following days are mandatory: Focus: Hope Organizational Events Spring Bling Family Fun Day And specialized days that are identified by the Director of Early Learning and our management team. In-Kind All staff have a responsibility to support the program to meet the non-federal share (in-kind). Staff are strongly encouraged to recruit parents to volunteer within the program. Additionally, staff are also encouraged, when possible, to support the program by recruiting community members for volunteers and personal donations. When purchases are voluntarily made to promote the program, those expenses can be used as a donation and can be claimed as in-kind. What can we offer you for all your hard work?
