Overview Provides instructional services specified in the Job Corps Policy Requirement Handbook (PRH) pertaining to the Career Preparation Period (CPP). The Center Preparation Program Specialist (CPPS) may instruct students in either academic and/or non-academic subjects and will develop instructional materials relevant to the Career Preparation Period (CPP) week in which he/she is assigned and defined by the Career Development Services System Plan. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or six (6) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Elementary or Secondary education degrees preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS No additional experience required. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Internet, Spreadsheet and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None required. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES None required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.
