    Job Summary: The central dispatcher will be responsible for taking care of customer needs as well as coordinating and scheduling the movement of trucks and drivers to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods. The job typically requires excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Duties/Responsibilities: * HEAVY PHONE CALLS  * RECEIVING AND PROCESSING ORDERS FROM CUSTOMERS *  ASSIGNING DRIVERS AND TRUCKS TO SPECIFIC ROUTES AND DELIVERIES  * MONITORING DRIVERS' PROGRESS AND ENSURING ON-TIME DELIVERY  * COMMUNICATING WITH CUSTOMERS, DRIVERS, AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS TO PROVIDE UPDATES AND RESOLVE ISSUES * MAINTAINING ACCURATE RECORDS OF DELIVERIES, DRIVER HOURS, AND OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION  * ENSURING COMPLIANCE WITH RELEVANT REGULATIONS AND SAFETY STANDARDS QUALIFICATIONS:  * Must be able to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a high-pressure environment. * Attention to detail. * Great customer service and problem-solving skills. * The ability to work well in a team. * Strong communication skills. * Experience in logistics or transportation a plus. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  * A high school diploma or equivalent  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  * Sitting for prolonged periods * Crouching * Walking
