Responsibilities Summary/Responsibilities of this position:A Sales Expert will be responsible for mastering advanced skills in procedures and techniques specific to area of specialization. Possess and convey a culinary level of food expertise.Work under general supervision while relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals. Apply accepted guidelines, rules and procedures to decisions. Continually monitor and immediately address problems. Make sound decisions on everyday issues and problems. Requires specific product knowledge depending on the Department.Responsibilities:- Serve as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues- May assist in writing weekly Department schedule- Identify and address high priority activities first- Communicate clear expectations for assignments- Delegate responsibility to appropriate Partners- Provide excellent customer service - Maintain operating effectiveness- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals as needed- Ensure that all federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met- Maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control- Use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales- Convey a contagious level of enthusiasm for food- Communicate and model the Central Market visionEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION PREFERRED- Typically requires 8 years experience- Expert knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment- Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation is essential- Strong customer service skills- Passion for food- Materials Handling Equipment certification- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills-Ability to work in fast paced environment-Ability to work in extreme temperatures- Previous retail/restaurant experience requiredPHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS- Must be able to manage in excess of 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs02-2004
