Salary Grade/Schedule: 130

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s or Specialist degree in Education, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in family and community engagement, educational leadership, or program development.
  • Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in educational leadership at level L-5, NL-5, PL-6, or above required. If a level L-5, NL-5, PL-6, or above certificate is not held, the individual must be eligible for the NPL certificate in educational leadership.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a district-wide vision and strategic plan for family and community engagement aligned with the district’s overall Strategic Plan.
  • Establish systems and procedures to strengthen communication, collaboration, and partnerships among schools, families, and community organizations.
  • Design, lead, and evaluate initiatives that promote parental involvement and empower families to actively support student learning.
  • Manage district-wide programs, including adult education initiatives (GED and ESL classes), as well as events that build stronger school-community connections.
  • Oversee the allocation and management of resources and funding dedicated to family and community engagement efforts.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits, and community agencies to expand resources and opportunities for students and families.
  • Serve as a liaison between the district, school leaders, and community stakeholders to foster positive, collaborative relationships.
  • Provide training and professional development for school staff and families to strengthen engagement strategies and practices.
  • Equip families with tools and resources that support their children’s academic achievement and socialemotional well-being.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on the effectiveness of family and community engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
