The AVP Central Operations Supervisor’s primary objective is to provide excellent customer service to Bank customers and Bank employees by meeting or managing the expectations of the Bank’s clients. The individual should have a thorough knowledge of deposit operations and deposit products. The individual must have a solid understanding of payments (ACHs, checks, debit cards, and wire transfers). Review and update department procedures. Train new Central Operations employees. Assist the Central Operations Manager in preparing for annual audits. File unclaimed property reports with the California State Controller’s Office. Supervise Central Operations staff responsible for: Wire transfers Day-two exception processing ACH/check returns and adjustments Debit card processing, EFT settlement, and dispute filing Branch operations support General ledger (GL) and demand deposit account (DDA) daily reconciliation and monthly certification Account maintenance Dormant accounts IOLTAs (Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts) Client correspondence Levies and subpoenas Reconciliations All other day-to-day department tasks Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience AA in Business Administration or equivalent experience AAP & NACHA Certifications (or ability to obtain) 5-10 years working in a banking environment Requisite Skills Excellent Organizational Skills Strong coaching skills Dependable and reliable Knowledge of all Bank products Thorough knowledge of Regulation E, Regulation CC, and State and Federal regulations Ability to detect and mitigate risks such as fraudulent account and check activity Knowledge of computer programs- Microsoft Office, MS Excel & Word, financial institution core, ancillary systems Excellent written, analytical, and oral communication skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Superior Customer Service skills Ability to be a self-starter and work independently. Ability to multi-task Ability to lead, manage a team, complete performance evaluations and address performance issues as needed Ability to review, revise, and/or draft procedures Ability to complete all assigned Bank compliance training.
