This position is a hybrid position with dual responsibility to support project installations for the Liquid Bulk and Micro Bulk business in the Canada Sub-Region and manage a small portfolio of accounts in house. The Project Technician portion of the role can expect to support a group of engineers/project specialists located in Canada with up to 50+ projects each year. Projects are managed from a regional office and require strong organizational and communication skills to maintain coordination. The Central Sales portion of the role has responsibility to manage a portfolio of approximately 50 accounts with a mix of Liquid Bulk and Microbulk accounts.

Les projets sont gérés depuis un bureau régional et nécessitent de solides compétences en organisation et en communication pour assurer la coordination. Le responsable des ventes centrales est chargé de gérer un portefeuille d’environ 50 comptes, comprenant des activités de vrac liquide et de micro-vrac.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Self-motivated individual: flexible, accepts ownership, results driven
  • Team player: reliable, active participant and listener, communicates constructively
  • 2 years of college (associate’s degree). BS degree preferred.
  • Previous sales/ customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of contract language and negotiations preferred.
  • Financial acumen
  • Fluency in the English and French language
  • Computer literate, level of proficiency with office software: working knowledge to intermediate or better
  • Experienced time and quality management skills.
  • Responsive and detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills; technical writing, phone etiquette and email
  • Able to travel to US
Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES CENTRAL SALES ROLE:

  • Renewing existing Liquid Bulk and Micro Bulk contracts.
  • Driving cost recovery and surcharge initiatives.
  • Building customer relationships, improving contract terms and conditions, and signing new business for the Canada sub-region.
    There is a high degree of emphasis on meeting established business targets in a challenging, competitive environment. The position works closely with IG Field and Micro Bulk Sales Representatives to jointly drive the continued success of the Inside/Outside selling model.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES PROJECT TECHNICIAN ROLE:

  • Support of Air Products safety standards
  • Updates to job knowledge: fulfill Air Products training requirements, participate in educational opportunities
  • Meets work standards: following work processes, resolving operational issues, and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Communication with team members, outside services, and co-workers across AP departments to support and coordinate projects
  • Create project construction packages from Vantage and send electronic and hard copies to Canadian construction technicians.
  • Provide training for new Canada Region engineers in the project support area
  • Project Resource Acquisition:
  • Use SAP and other tools to procure materials and services for installations and work orders
  • Obtain quotes from vendors and requisition POs for non-stocked materials and services
  • Project Monitor and Control:
  • Use Customer Engineering project management software (Vantage) to maintain project data and documentation to assist with overall project management Use software tools to create reports and support project accounting
  • Develop self-tracking organizational methods
  • Attend North America and Regional Customer Engineering meetings
  • Project Closure:
  • Process and ensure that each project’s documentation is complete (Liquid Bulk and MB project)
  • Follow, investigate, and respond to, various components of each project’s financial close out process
