Description Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a full time Central Service & Supply Tech at our Layton locations. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Essential Job Responsibilities: Stock Central Supply rooms Prepare various items to be sterilized Clean, package, sterilize, and distribute instruments Clean and stock procedure rooms each week as needed Unload supplies from the dock area and distribute to the proper locations Collect biohazardous waste and package for disposal Collect linen bags Process receiving of product against purchase orders ensuring proper quantity and quality of product Maintain records of goods ordered and received Maintain a detailed delivery log of all incoming packages and identifying all packages that require refrigeration Other duties as assigned Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Requirements: Six months Central Supply work experience preferred Must be able to lift 30 pounds unassisted Must be able to be on feet for entire shift including walking, pulling, pushing, twisting, lifting, and walking up and down stairs Basic computer knowledge Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Excellent communication skills Organized, detail oriented, and professional Ability to multi-task Excellent time management skills Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job Performance Requirements: Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology, medical supplies, and organizational services. Skills: Adequate hearing to answer phone. Abilities: Ability to use multi-line phone system, including transferring calls and paging. Ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard by callers. Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc. Work Environment: Fast-paced, behind-the-scenes environment focused on sterilizing, distributing, and maintaining medical supplies and equipment Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately
