Required Job Specific Competencies: * Demonstrates skills in communication, leadership, and problem solving. * Demonstrates ability to develop & maintain collaborative working relationships with associates, medical staff & vendors. * Functions as a liaison with the Operating Room and other supervisor. * Demonstrates knowledge & implications of Patient Rights & Ethics, Performance Improvement, Management of Information, Environment of Care/Safety, Infection Control, Leadership, Management of HR and department competencies. * Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive info including but not limited to that of patients, staff & the health system. * Independently supervises the function of daily work assignments to assure productive workflow. * Demonstrates skill in proactively resolving problems, recommending, and implementing continuous quality improvements. * Supervises and monitors the activity of associates having responsibilities for an effective and efficient operation. * Demonstrates ability to interact with others in a professional courteous manner. * Exhibits leadership through mentoring and development of associates. * Provides administrative guidance and consultation appropriate to the growth and development of associates. * Qualifications: * High School graduation required. * Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician, required. * Current certification through IAHCSMM required. * 1-3 years of sequential experience in Central Sterile Service or Operating Room, required. * Sterile Processing and Distribution Supervisor certification, preferred. * 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred. * Affiliated with national organization, preferred. * AAS degree preferred.
