OVERVIEW

The Supply Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory and supplies within a healthcare or medical facility. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe and effective environment for patient care.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in inventory management or supply chain roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology will be beneficial in understanding the context of supplies used within the facility.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are crucial for success in this role.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality within a healthcare environment is required.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office knowledge and data entry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Computer skills
• Basic math skills
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Able to sit/stand for a prolonged period of time and lift items that weigh more than 15 lbs.
• High School Diploma.

• Manage inventory levels by tracking supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock is maintained at all times.
• Process incoming and outgoing supplies, including receiving shipments, inspecting items for quality, and organizing storage areas.
• Collaborate with medical staff to understand supply needs and assist in the ordering process as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and assist in conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support the proper categorization and handling of medical supplies.
