Communicates with patients, scheduling staff, other departments within and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality. Position requires self-motivation, creativity, and capabilities to function in a semi-autonomous role within a fast pace and dynamic environment. STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE Ability to scan information into the patient record via EMR database. 2. Ability to log data accurately into Excel Spreadsheet. 3. Ability to answer phone calls and record accurate information 4. Ability to communicate with outside agencies to obtain documentation needed. 5. Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned to ensure team efficiency. 6. Ensures departmental adherence to proper infection control, OSHA and safety standards, Maintains work area in a neat, clean and organized manner. Requirements Minimum Level of Education: Education level equivalent to a high school diploma. Formal Training: None required. Preferred office experience, but not mandatory. Licensure, Certification, Registration: None required. Work Experience: Must be experienced with general telephone etiquette and office equipment. Experience in records management or any aspect of the healthcare or related industry is preferred, but not mandatory. Tools and Equipment Used: Calculator, personal computer, telephone, copier, printer, scanner, hole puncher and laminator.
