The ACJC is dedicated to advancing research, education, and community engagement, addressing contemporary issues, combating antisemitism, and promoting intercultural understanding. The Centre collaborates widely with academic, government, and community partners across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
As a Centre Administrator you will provide comprehensive administrative coordination and support services to ensure the effective operation of ACJC’s research programs, educational initiatives, and community engagement activities. They serve as the primary administrative hub for the Centre’s diverse activities, facilitating connections between academic research, community needs, and public engagement while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This includes coordinating Centre operations, managing stakeholder relationships, supporting community partnerships, and providing executive support to the Centre Director.
The Centre Administrator operates with excellence in process and judgement to provide support to the ACJC team and Advisory Council, while maintaining the high standards expected of Australia’s premier Jewish studies centre.To succeed as Centre Administrator, you will bring strong administrative and organisational skills, with experience managing complex projects, events, and stakeholder relationships. You’ll have a proven track record in community engagement, especially with diverse groups and government partners, and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service. You work well independently and in teams, handle sensitive information with discretion, and possess advanced computer literacy. An understanding of Jewish communities and culture, along with experience coordinating community-focused programs, is essential.
