DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

To be successful in this position, you must possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Leadership experience in an aquatic / leisure multi-purpose centre
  • Demonstrated experience in calmly and professionally managing and controlling stressful situations
  • Ability to motivate staff to ensure the development of highly professional employees
  • Experience in the maintenance of water treatment and OH&S requirements
  • Current Pool Lifeguard
  • Current Provide First Aid
  • Current Provide CPR
  • Aquatic Technical Operators course or equivalent
  • Working with Children Check Employee and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting directly to the Aquatic Operations Coordinator, the Centre Care Manager is the heartbeat of our daily operations. You’ll be responsible for keeping the facility running smoothly, ensuring everything is safe, clean, and welcoming for our community.
With your strong customer service mindset, you’ll be the friendly face that helps patrons make the most of their time with us—whether they’re learning to swim, training for a goal, or just having fun!

You will maintain a broad knowledge of all programs and services. In particular, the role is responsible for:

  • The supervision and direction of all employees on shift
  • Overseeing staff rosters and breaks
  • Water testing and plant operations
  • Cash balancing
  • Customer education
  • General maintenance and cleaning
  • Ensuring all OH&S and customer service procedures are adhered to
  • Emergency management
  • Service provision hours will be required in a Lifeguard and Leading Lifeguard capacity
