Knowledge management

  • Oversees research, measurement and evaluation projects related to the confronting anti-Black Racism strategy;
  • Coordinates corporation wide reporting and information gathering for strategy implementation;
  • Supports learning about and promotes increased access to knowledge and information for the board, senior leaders and the enterprise as it relates to the confronting anti-Black racism strategy
Responsibilities

Research, and Process Development

  • Under the guidance of the Centre Director, leads team’s operational planning process, development, documentation and implementation of frameworks and business processes to deliver strategic initiatives on the Centre;
  • Analyzes and interprets service capacity, needs, opportunities, and trends in the Black community around economic development, youth development, violence reduction and community-level conflict mediation;
  • Utilizing well developed project management and organizational skills, leads and participates in TCHC work groups, teams, committees to develop and revise related policies, guidelines, procedures and processes.

Strategy/ Program Implementation

  • In collaboration with the Centre Director, and the Policy, Planning and Coaching team, supports the development and implementation of innovative strategies and/partnerships to leverage emerging opportunities to promote thriving Black communities and respond to needs and challenges of Black staff and Tenants This role will project management support and develop projects and partnerships involving multiple internal and external stakeholders across all regions;
  • Oversee the implementation of the corporate strategic plan on Anti-Black Racism:
  • Advises on establishing and achieving goals and targets
  • Ensures organizational alignment with the plan where possible
  • Review and analysis of corporate programs, procedures and initiatives to ensure they are aligned with Centre strategies

Outreach/ Engagement

  • Under the direction of the Centre Director, supports the development of engagement strategies for both tenants and staff to ensure input and validate impact of Centre strategies;
  • Reviews and analyses qualitative and quantitative input to make recommendations;
  • Recommends course of action to Centre Director of how to proceed with strategies and training related to diversity and anti-black racism;
  • Develops program tools and frameworks to support strategies, ensuring consistent service delivery across all regional teams.

Knowledge management

  • Provides leadership and effective management of staff including setting appropriate context, building a positive and productive team, effectively managing performance, identifying and resolving compliance issues to ensure adherence to TCHC policies and controls;
  • Actively participates and contributes to the ongoing strategic leadership of operations within the Centre, advising and providing guidance in the planning, development and action of short- and long-term strategic business plans;
  • Prepares reports for various stakeholders including the Centre Director Provides leadership, direction and support to a diverse team promoting a culture of tenant centric customer excellence;
  • Ensures development and execution of progressive performance plans and a service delivery model within their team;
  • Maintains adherence to established human resources policies and procedure including collective agreements;
  • Ensures compliance with relevant legislation;
  • Promotes the Toronto Community Housing Culture Model within the Unit.
