Apollo Language Centre is an award-winning English language school in Ireland with superb centres for juniors in Dublin, Maynooth, Cork and Limerick, with unique course features offering an unforgettable experience to its customers.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join our busy summer school in Dublin as Centre Manager.

Details:

  • Location: Sutton Park School, St Fintan’s Rd, Sutton, Dublin 13.
  • Programme dates: 15th June - 10th August 2025 (8 weeks)
  • Training period: 9th June – 14th June 2025 (1 week)
  • Students aged: 11-17 years old
  • Total Remuneration: €1100 per week during programme (full-time), €15 per hour during training week.
  • Lunch provided daily Monday-Friday

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a similar role in the EFL industry
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work, develop work plans and meet strict deadlines
  • High level of Excel skills
  • Experience of SIS (Student Information System) preferable
  • People management experience including experience of delegation and team leadership
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail with a drive for complete accuracy
  • Pro-active, enthusiastic and flexible
  • Ability to work under pressure, individually and as part of a team
  • Availability for online training sessions between March and June – dates and times to be arranged with successful candidate
    *Renumeration for this role is inclusive of all statutory holiday pay entitlements.

Responsibilities:

CENTRE MANAGER ROLE

The role of Centre Manager is to manage the operations and administration of one of our busy junior summer camps. The role is responsible for managing a team of people, including activity staff and liaising with campus management and external vendors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall management of Apollo Junior Summer Camp, from preparation through to execution and evaluation.
  • Management and training of the multidisciplinary team hired to deliver best service for the young learners and their group leaders.
  • Responsibility for all afternoon and evening activities, which include sports/art and social programme.
  • Responsibility for all aspects of the supervision and staffing of the day programme and maintaining order and discipline among the students.
  • Supervision of all non-teaching staff who stay on to deliver the sports/social programme.
  • Supervision and management of students throughout the programme.
  • Liaising daily with group leaders on the programme.
  • Liaising with campus authorities throughout the programme including catering, cleaning and maintenance staff.
  • Maintaining a high level of student discipline throughout the programme and ensuring that staff carry out their roles effectively.
  • Working closely with the administrative staff of Apollo in its main headquarters.
  • Keeping track of hours worked by staff, both admin and activity monitors.
  • Tracking all arrivals, departures and keeping catering and cleaning staff informed of any changes to schedule.
  • Track and confirm all airport transfers of groups and individuals to and from the summer camps.
  • Maintaining a good work ethic and positive atmosphere throughout the summer school.
  • Being on-call outside school hours for the duration of the camp.
  • Supervise the Activity Manager with the booking of social activities.
  • Liaise with agents from various countries to ensure a smooth running of and positive experience for all students.
  • Manage the school’s 24-hour Emergency Phone.
  • All successful candidates must complete an online Child Protection awareness training
  • All successful candidates will undergo Garda vetting.
