Job description:

Goodness Childcare is located in the heart of Vaughan and is an industry leader in programming, parent-centred relationships, integration as well as staff training, development and professional satisfaction.

• Ensure effective communication and program collaboration.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and policies.
• Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
• Order and purchase supplies and equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hold an ECE designation for a minimum of 5 years and be in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a child care centre would be preferred.
• Current CPR Level-C and Standard First Aid certificates.
• Working knowledge of CCEYA, and Public Health regulations regarding Child Care Centres.
• Fluent oral and written English language communication skills;
• Knowledge of licensing regulations
• Skilled at working both independently and within a team.
• Skilled in office works and computer applications including Microsoft word, excel
• Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Police Information Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement programs in compliance with the CCEYA
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other ECEs and ECAs
• Assessing and monitoring staff, trainees or volunteers. Providing information, referral, and advocacy services and/or report situation to the appropriate authority as required by law.
• Monitor and evaluate program delivery for quality and to ensure the programs meet target deliverables.

Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a daycare or similar setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- CPR and First Aid certification
