White Oak Creek Childcare Centre is currently accepting applications for full time position of RECE Supervisor from qualified and motivated candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Vulnerable Sector Check from the Regional police
  • Current CPR/ First Aid Certification
  • Degree/Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in this role.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ classroom experience.
  • Strong leadership and administrative skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children and their parents
  • Demonstrate skills working as a team and enjoy a team environment
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Fluent oral and written English language communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Email.
  • Experience in moving children around a centre with the acceptation of age and development
  • Demonstrated knowledge of licensing and regulations
Responsibilities

The Supervisor is responsible for program planning, working effectively with staff, working with representative from the Ministry of Education, families and children, connecting with the community, and administrative responsibilities related to the day to day operation of the Child Care Centre.

As a Supervisor, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Centre Director with managing the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and Ministry licensing.
  • Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
  • Managing administrative tasks such communications with families, communications with the Building owners, discussions with the caterer.
  • Understanding and enforcing all province regulations within the building.
  • Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
  • Providing effective communication with families about their child.
  • Make sure all staff files are up to date and schedule training of CPR and First Aid for all members of staff.
  • Oversee the planning and preparation of meals for the children.
