The role of our Ceramic Matrix Composite Technologists are key roles in our growing Advanced Materials capability, where we are working on the developments of world leading science and engineering for our International Client base. We are developing and growing a National Centre of Excellence for Advanced Ceramics – resourced with a superb array of world leading equipment – and talented people.
You will have a significant post academic industrial experience following your science / engineering discipline. Alongside technical excellence and insights, your will have personal attributes of influence and persuasion (internal and external parties) with a superb mix of curiosity and communication skills, supported by your strong practical abilities in the sciences that you are passionate about.
A specialist subject and experience in CMC’s along with / or Materials for Harsh Environments; Ultra High Temperature Ceramics; Ceramics 3d printing and / or other challenging but in demand technologies.
You would work as part of a small but agile team, with a growing responsibility for people development (junior scientists and graduate apprentices), as well as technical matters in the activity. Experience in, and a desire for engaging with the technical and commercial seniors in our clients, leading them to see your and our insights into the future.
