The Opportunity:
Newcastle Anglican are seeking permanent part time Senior Care Assistant or Team Leaders. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to seniors in our residential aged care homes.
These roles offers an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and energetic individuals looking to gain further experience in a great team environment. You will have the opportunity to make every moment matter by bringing respect, compassion, integrity and enhancing the wellbeing of our residents and consumers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a care team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Residential Care Manager, ensuring appropriate allocation of skilled team members to Resident care needs and effective orientating and ‘buddying’ of new employees, supporting team members in all aspects of their work,
  • Administer medication under the delegation and supervision of the Registered Nurse
  • Contribute to the clinical care of consumers including maintenance of clinical records.

About you?

  • Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent
  • Current First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain
  • An ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to accurately document residents’ care/progress
