Description Join our Team! Leland Management is seeking a Pool & Spa Operator / Common Area Maintenance Tech for one of our communities in the Ocala, FL area. The position is full-time with competitive pay and excellent benefits. Requirements: Certified Pool Operator License preferred but not required (will train). Experience in Pool/Spa maintenance to include pumps, heaters, plumbing, etc. Able to lift, push, pull, up to 50 lbs. General knowledge of computers, texting, emailing Able to read, write, and communicate in English Proficient in light construction and handyman work, i.e. drywall repairs, painting, lighting, plumbing, etc. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment Primary Responsibilities: · Blow off all decks, tables, and chairs. · Check all chems and temperature in both pool and spa (record in logbook for inspector) · Maintain all chem readings and GPM in logbook · Vacuum and skim pool/spa as needed to keep algae growth and surface debris clear · Add chlorine, etc., daily as needed to retain proper chems · Clean filter grids as needed. · Clean DE canisters as needed. · Check for pluming leaks in both Vak Paks · Monitor spa heating (max 104 degrees) · Sanitize handrails on pool/spa · Maintain inventory of chlorine, clarifier, DE powder, etc. · Visually inspect bottom drains of pool/spa · Check Solar Pump & Panels for function and/or leaks · Sanitize/clean scum gutter border tiles on pool/spa · Inspect pool surface for stains, cracks, etc. · Spray pavers for weeds · Soak paver deck (extends the life) · Inspect life rings, ropes, hooks for wear · Inspect screws on all ladders to assure safety · Inspect all scum gutter drains and jets to assure proper function · Drain (Backwash) Vak Paks to clean all filter grids · Close Pool/Spa for chemical shock and clean . Blowing and pressure washing of common areas as needed . Emptying trash, cleaning outdoor furniture . Open buildings Monday - Friday . Building inspections and maintenance
