Description Pilatus is hiring a Certification & Airworthiness Engineer II to join our team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and compiling Supplement Type Certificate (STC) or Major / Minor Alteration packages for authority approval and implementation. In addition, you will coordinate certification and approval requirements with partner ODAs, FAA Certification Offices or National Airworthiness Authorities. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Analyzes certification requirements, prepares certification packages for approval, and advises engineering team members on required artefacts Plans and coordinates certification related tasks and activities with partner ODAs and Authorities Plans, coordinates, and liaises with all internal departments for certification activities required to achieve FAA STC approvals, Field Approvals, maintenance, and validation of current and future approvals Performs and oversees the Minor / Major change classification process administration Plans, coordinates, and liaises with FAA and foreign authorities on certification validation efforts Compiles and authors technical content and illustrations for airworthiness (ICA, SB, Instructions) and operational documents (AFMS, Platform Operator documentation) Functions as project coordinator with internal and external stakeholders for assigned projects Other Duties/Responsibilities Supports technical meetings, design reviews, and product acceptance with customers and authorities Provides technical guidance in all aspects of certification and validation requirements Coordinates various engineering aspects with Pilatus Aircraft OEM Engineering in Switzerland to ensure conformance with established engineering standards, procedures, and practices Requirements Skills/Qualifications BS degree in related Engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience 1-3 years of related experience in aviation design certification required Experience with complex aircraft design, certification projects preferred (Pilatus PC-12/PC-24 type and/or latest generation Integrated Flight deck familiarity strongly desired) Strong familiarity and demonstrated experience with 14 CFR Part 23 compliance requirements (TCCA CAR523 and EASA CS 23 experience highly beneficial) Strong familiarity with the application of Guidance Materials, MOCs and Standard in certification CAD application knowledge as well as PDM/PLM familiarity such as Siemens Teamcenter, Unigraphics, Solid Edge application knowledge is beneficial Excellent report writing, presentation skills, and multitasking abilities Demonstrated experience in Completions Center or Part 145 Repair Station environment beneficial Ability to travel both domestically and internationally Must meet the criteria of a U.S. person as defined under ITAR 22 CFR 120.62 What We Offer 11 paid holidays a year, plus 15 days of paid vacation time, and 6 days of paid sick/personal time to start with an increase to 20 days of paid vacation time after 5 years with Pilatus 90% of medical, dental, and vision premiums paid for single coverage and 80% for family coverage, averaging $9,600 annually Monthly health savings account (HSA) contributions totaling $2,250 for single coverage and $3,000 for family coverage annually 401(k) retirement plan matching up to 6% Life and long-term disability insurance premiums paid in full Tuition assistance available annually after the first year The salary range for this position is $84,780 - 114,453 per year depending on experience. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
