OVERVIEW:

EmpowerFit Sherwood Park is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT) to join our multidisciplinary team on a part-time basis. This unique role blends injury rehabilitation, performance coaching, and client support within a women’s-only studio setting. If you’re passionate about helping women move pain-free, recover stronger, and perform at their best—we want to hear from you.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Certified and in good standing with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA)
  • Degree in Athletic Therapy, Kinesiology, or a related field
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Additional certifications in strength training, mobility, or women’s health (an asset)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical or practical experience as an Athletic Therapist
  • Experience in strength training or group fitness an asset
  • Previous work in female-focused or wellness settings is preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathetic, professional, and client-focused approach
  • Ability to collaborate with a team of fitness, health, and wellness professionals

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized athletic therapy treatment, rehabilitation, and injury prevention strategies
  • Lead dynamic and safe group fitness classes and personal/semi-private training sessions as appropriate to your scope
  • Conduct functional assessments and movement screens
  • Collaborate with other fitness and wellness professionals to deliver integrated care
  • Design customized recovery and strength programs tailored to client goals, injuries, and needs
  • Educate and empower clients on injury prevention, recovery, and movement patterns
  • Support clients of all fitness levels, from pre/postnatal to performance-focused individuals
  • Maintain accurate records and progress tracking for clients
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and empowering training environment
