We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Certified Athletic Trainer to join our clinic team in Columbus, IN. This role provides both administrative and clinical support, while leveraging athletic training expertise to enhance patient care. Responsibilities Prepare patients for examination and assist the provider during exams and in-office procedures. Measure, collect, and record patient vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height). Perform patient intake, review medical history, and document information in the electronic medical record. Fit and dispense DME (braces, supports, splints, etc.), ensuring proper use and patient education. Conduct functional and musculoskeletal screenings under provider supervision to support treatment planning. Educate patients on movement, ergonomics, and injury prevention strategies that align with pain management goals. Maintain and track DME inventory, ensuring accurate documentation and billing readiness. Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, clean and disinfect equipment, and restock supplies. Monitor patient recovery progress and communicate observations to the provider. Support patient follow-up by reinforcing care plans and monitoring adherence to treatment recommendations. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and CPIhealth confidentiality standards. Exhibit CPIhealth’s core values of honesty, respect, teamwork, professionalism, and quality care. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical, orthopedic, or rehabilitation setting preferred. Experience with EMR (NextGen/ECW) preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, DME fitting, and patient care protocols. Strong communication, documentation, and patient education skills. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical record platforms. Ability to multi-task efficiently and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based clinical environment. Cooperative and professional behavior toward patients, peers, providers, management and visitors. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Licenses & Certifications BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) in good standing. Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the state of Indiana.
