JOB DESCRIPTION

Amaracon provides special inspection and material testing services to a broad range of New York construction, developer, and owner clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in joining a dynamic team and building their careers in the field of special inspection and materials testing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Amaracon’s Welding Special Inspector is responsible for daily inspection and testing services at sites throughout the New York Metro region.
The position requires being out on construction sites doing physical labor for the testing. A personal car and a valid driving license are required.
To grow within the company the applicant must take certification tests. Applicants must be able to self-study and take tests. Basic math skills are required. We do provide training and support.
Must write detailed field reports in a timely, precise, and efficient manner.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company-provided training and mentoring.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
NYS Licensed Professional Engineer is prefered if available.
Two to five years of experience in the Special Inspections field is preferred. Training to obtain additional certifications will be provided by the company.
