JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in various dental software systems.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
  • Familiarity with orthodontics and sedation is a plus, as well as experience in surgical/implantology procedures, or a willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
  • A background in dental reception duties is beneficial for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix.
  • Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front office duties, including reception tasks when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric patients as required.
  • Utilize CAD technology for dental procedures when applicable.
