JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a dental office setting.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix .
  • Knowledge of orthodontics and experience working with pediatric patients is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
  • Manage appointment schedules and coordinate with the dental receptionist for patient flow.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric patients as needed.
  • Utilize CAD technology for creating dental impressions or models when applicable.
