JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical records management, and the ability to work effectively with pediatric patients.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess prior experience in dental assisting, particularly in pediatric dentistry. Familiarity with medical coding, dental terminology, and medical records management is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines is required to maintain patient confidentiality. Proficiency in taking X-rays and using dental software will be considered an asset.   • Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilizing instruments and managing supplies.
  • Take and develop X-rays as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in taking impressions and fabricating temporary crown is a plus
  • Record and update patient medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups using Eaglesoft or similar software.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in a friendly environment.
