JOB SUMMARY

NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn and enjoy having a few different roles within the dental practice. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be part of our restorative and front desk teams. (Position is for Monday/Wednesday OR Wednesday/Friday)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of dental assisting procedures and front desk duties.
  • Experience working in pediatrics is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in orthodontics is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Abeldent
  • Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is crucial.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction and education.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Abeldent
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and managing patient inquiries.
  • Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to create a comfortable experience.
