JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic Orthodontic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team with various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong commitment to patient comfort and safety, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of orthodontics is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix or Epic.
  • Understanding of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) applications related to dentistry is a plus.
  • Strong grasp of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures.
  • Experience in a dental receptionist role is advantageous for managing front-office duties.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and team members effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are stocked.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out processes.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.
