JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support our dental practice by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This role requires proficiency in dental terminology and techniques, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems; experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and 3D scanners is a plus.
• Ability to assist in various specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• A solid understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and documentation practices is beneficial.

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
• Take and develop X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for patient management and scheduling.
• Conduct preliminary assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
• Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to young patients.
• Manage dental clinic operations, including inventory management and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient experiences.
