The Association francophone de Kamloops is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to serving the French speaking community of the Kamloops region. Our mission is to promote French language and culture through a variety of enriching social, cultural, and educational activities. Our centre has a daycare called Chez Tintin et Milou.

SUMMARY

We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team in Kamloops. This role is vital in fostering a nurturing environment that promotes early childhood development while celebrating French language and culture as well as other culture. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping young minds and supporting their growth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of young children.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children’s development.
  • Assess children’s progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Promote bilingualism by integrating both French and English into daily activities.
  • Support children with special needs through tailored educational approaches.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote early childhood education.
  • Qualifications
  • Valid ECE licensed to practice in BC
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Proficiency in English (mandatory) and knowledge of French (preferred).
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting (mandatory).
  • Knowledge of special education practices (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (preferred).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups (preferred).
  • Time management and organizational skills (preferred).
