Job Title: Certified Foot Care Nurse Location: Los Angeles, California Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Certified Foot Care Nurse (CFCN) to join our healthcare team in Los Angeles. This role is critical in the prevention and management of lower extremity complications among diabetic and at-risk patients. You’ll play a vital part in promoting foot health, preventing ulcers, reducing amputation risks, and educating patients on long-term care strategies. Key Responsibilities: - Provide specialized foot care to patients with diabetes and other conditions that increase the risk of foot complications - Conduct thorough foot assessments, documenting findings and developing personalized care plans - Perform debridement, dressing changes, nail and skin care, and other advanced nursing foot care techniques - Educate patients and caregivers on proper foot hygiene, footwear, and early warning signs of complications - Collaborate with physicians, podiatrists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care - Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards - Participate in community outreach and preventive care programs targeting diabetic populations Qualifications: - Current and unrestricted RN license in California - Certification in Foot Care Nursing (CFCN or equivalent preferred) - Minimum 2 years of experience in wound care, diabetic care, or a related field - BLS/CPR certification - Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for patient education and preventive care Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in home health or outpatient wound care settings - Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Benefits: - Competitive salary and benefits package - Continuing education support - Opportunity to make a direct impact on patient quality of life
