JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist with various procedures. This position requires a strong background in dental assisting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This position is for every Friday and Saturday:
Fri: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Sat: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
This position can lead to a FT position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, with a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Familiarity with iTero scanner and dental lasers is preferred.
  • Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus.
  • Proficient in using dental software systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program is required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Take digital scan using IO scanners
  • Provide chairside assistance during various dental treatments, including orthodontics and pediatrics.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and streamline office operations.
  • Utilize dental software systems for managing patient information.
  • Proficient in fabricating appliances such as sportsguards, bleaching trays, and nightguards.
