Position Title: Medical Assistant / Correctional Health Technician (MA/CHT) – Day & Night Shifts Location: Phoenix, Arizona Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (minimum 13-week commitment) Openings: 1 Day Shift WOC & 2 Night Shift WOCs Scheduled Days/Nights: TBD POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking skilled Medical Assistants/Correctional Health Technicians (MA/CHT) to join the correctional healthcare team in Phoenix, AZ. This role requires a minimum 13-week commitment and offers both day and night shift opportunities. The MA/CHT will provide patient care within the infirmary unit, working under the supervision of medical and nursing personnel to ensure quality care and compliance with established standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Deliver patient care within MA scope of practice under supervision. * Document patient care in the electronic health record. * Prepare patients for examination and treatment; record histories, vital signs, and chief complaints. * Assist with office procedures, tests, and examinations. * Maintain exam/procedure room supplies. * Transcribe provider orders and schedule follow-up appointments. * Administer injections, immunizations, and TB skin tests per protocol. * Perform venipunctures and lab tests. * Support office duties including copying, filing, scanning, scheduling, and document preparation. * Utilize Microsoft Office software for documents, spreadsheets, emails, and calendar tasks. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS * High school diploma or GED. * Certificate of completion from an MA accredited Health Care Training Program, as detailed in A.R.S. § 32-1456 (D) or exceptions listed in R4-16-401 (B). * Current N95 fit testing certification. * Current First Aid Certification. * Minimum 1 year of prior MA/CHT experience. RATE * $21.78/hr
