This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises. Responsibilities Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients Administer oral medications and injections EKG and ortho-glass splinting system Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure Draw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions Respond to all lab messages and call back requests Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures Maintain complete and accurate documentation Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Ability to help cover front CMA duties if needed Cross training in Radiology (limited X-Ray and front desk operations) Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required. High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical office training preferred. Previous experience in urgent care, primary care, or fast-paced healthcare environment preferred. Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused attitude. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently under pressure.
