Certified Medical Assistant Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant **Sign-On for Eligible New Hires** Work location: 2005 Fort Worth Highway - Suite 200 Weatherford, TX 76086 Work hours: Full-time; 40 hours weekly; Monday - Thursday (8am - 5pm), Fridays (8am - 3pm) Family Care Clinic Highlights: High Volume of Pediatric Patients Strong Employee Development Positive Work Environment Here’s What You Need High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED) CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED) 1 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (PREFERRED) ACLS or BCLS upon hire (PREFERRED) What You Will Do Obtains and records vital signs including, but not limited to blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problems. Administers ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as well as perform routine tests such as EKG. Documents patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider. Communicate with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician. Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s). Ensure safety checklists/quality controls are completed as required. Provides patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.
