JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including dermatology, urgent care, and hospital medicine. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting medical staff with administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth patient experience in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding.
  • Experience in dermatology, internal medicine, or urgent care preferred.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient patient documentation.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Previous hospital experience or clinic experience is advantageous; Level I or II trauma center experience is a plus.
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures if applicable to the role.
  • Experience in geriatrics, pediatrics (PICU), medical-surgical units, or operating room (OR) settings is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.

  • Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and manage patient information efficiently.
  • Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Support emergency medicine procedures as needed in urgent care settings.
