Overview:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant, also referred to as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Certified Medical Assistants will support both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments in our orthopedic clinic. Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment, helping to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations.
Shift’s Available: Days (No Weekends)
Employment Type: Full Time
Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. Medical Assistant School or Vocational Training.
  2. Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.
  3. Work experience in health care preferred.
  4. Medical Assistant Certification.
  5. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and prepare patients for orthopedic examinations and procedures
  • Record patient history, vital signs, and orthopedic-specific information
  • Instruct patients on pre-operative (pre-op) and post-operative (post-op) care and medication regimens
  • Help in orthopedic procedures, including bandaging, splinting, and wound care
  • Facilitate diagnostic tests, imaging tests (e.g., X-rays, MRIs) and ensure accurate documentation of results
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, including sterilization and inventory management of medical supplies and equipment
  • Schedule patient appointments, manage charts, and update (Electronic Medical Records) EHR systems with patient information
