Description GREATER HOUSTON AREA We have a Certified Medical Assistant or Dermtech position available! This is a position that involves traveling with with the surgical team in the greater Houston area. The incumbent will work with one of our exceptional surgeons who specializes in Mohs Surgery. This is a full time, Mon-Friday position that includes benefits. Applicants must have experience with rooming & educating patients, obtaining procedure consents, assisting with procedures, documenting in the EMR, scribing for physician, completing patient call backs, scheduling surgeries, logging & tracking pathology, completing prior authorizations, removing sutures and other duties as assigned. Dermatology experience is a definite plus! We utilize Modernizing Medicine's EMA as our EMR system. Successful applicants will be quick thinking, team players who are passionate about helping others. They will possess the ability to document accurately and quickly, have knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical and medication abbreviations and have the ability to work productively as part of the team. Travel is reimbursed per our policies. Certified MA's who have experience in the field of Dermatology will be considered first. Our performance bar is high and we strive to be the best in the field.
