Schedule: Full Time Monday-Wednesday 8:30am - 5pm, Thursday 8:30am - 5pm or 8:30am - 8pm, Friday 8:30am - 12pm, Saturday 8:30am - 12pm (alternating) Location: 1325 Community Memorial Drive, La Grange, IL 60525 The community you’ll be caring for: UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange Family Medicine Center The role you’ll contribute: Responsible for providing clinical and clerical services under supervision. This position rooms patients, assists with exams and procedures, and performs waived lab tests. In addition, this position actively participates in outstanding customer service. This role maintains respectful relationships with all individuals. The value you’ll bring to the team: Monitors physician schedules and organizes patient care to ensure timely visits. Serves as the point of contact for daily clinic operations, assessing and resolving issues or escalating them as needed. Supports relationship-based care and maintains accountability for organizational mission and core values. Conducts training sessions, reviews patient care protocols, and ensures compliance with infection prevention guidelines. Collaborates with healthcare teams to implement best practices and maintains high standards of care. Collects and prepare laboratory specimens. Other duties as assigned. Rooms patients, takes vital signs, documents reasons for visits, patient history, and allergies, following nursing protocols. Assists physicians with examinations and procedures, maintaining open communication for quality care. Audits ordered tests to ensure timely receipt and follow-up of results for quality healthcare. Monitors nursing supplies, equipment functionality, and maintenance, reporting needs to leadership. Delegates duties to office staff, manages operational issues, and ensures adherence to clinic quality, regulatory, billing, and customer service standards. Works within the organizational framework to achieve hospital and departmental goals and objectives. Provides direct patient care and leads front-line staff in day-to-day clinical operations. The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed: High School Grad or Equiv Required Technical/Vocational School Graduate from a medical assistant program Preferred One or more years of Work Experience Preferred Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Polish preferred Vital signs Phlebotomy Vaccinations Body substance isolation Specimen collection Phone skills and etiquette Organizational skills Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA) Required or American Medical Technologists (AMT) Required or National Center for Competency Testing-Medical Asst (NCCT) Required or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Required or ARMA
