SUMMARY:

Join our dynamic team at Novant Health’s Primary Care as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). In this important role, you will provide direct support in a fast-paced, healthcare environment, working closely with our physicians and healthcare providers. You will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients, assisting with exams, procedures, and coordinating care within our healthcare services. Your work will help ensure that we continue to offer the highest standard of care to our patients.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a physician’s office setting is required
Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Assist in evaluating patient needs and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete required documentation in the patient’s medical record, adhering to practice charting policies.
  • Clinical Support: Prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during health exams, treatments, and procedures.
  • Care Coordination: Schedule specialized consultations and coordinate appointments for diagnostic testing and follow-up care as directed by physicians.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with relevant information about their care, including advice on health, and address their questions and concerns.
