The Certified Medical Assistant is essential during the patient visit, accompanying the dermatologist in the room and promoting a friendly and efficient environment for patients, staff, and dermatologists. This Certified Medical Assistant position is based primarily out of our Lake Mary location. We are seeking a flexible associate who is available to work 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate is comfortable traveling between our Orlando, Winter Park, and Lake Mary locations as needed. Scheduling Details: Work hours fall between 6:30 AM and 7:00 PM. Shifts may vary within this time frame to ensure a full 40-hour workweek. Possible schedule formats may include: Two 12-hour shifts and two 6-hour shifts Four 10-hour shifts Five 8-hour shifts Work schedules are provided in advance and are based on operational needs. Flexibility is required. Ability to work Saturdays is a plus! Responsibilities Essential Functions: Rooming patients and documents all vital information Scribing information for the dermatologist Providing post op wound care to patients Drawing blood and suture removal Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms Scheduling patient appointments Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as: Surgical photographs Biopsies – punch, DIF and shave Excisions Electrodessication and curettage I&D Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery Phototherapy Injections Koh preps Trichograms Tzank preps Dermabrasion Patch testing Blue light Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Post High School education in a medical support field: Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is strongly preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems Must possess organizational and communication skills Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team Forefront will never request personal information, such as your social security number or banking information, via text or email. Responsibilities

The Certified Medical Assistant supports dermatologists by rooming patients, scribing, and assisting with various surgical procedures and biopsies. They are also responsible for wound care, blood draws, and maintaining exam room supplies.
