Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join Forward Health. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health settings. As a Medical Assistant at Forward Health, you will play a key role in supporting the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care. Working closely with providers, you will assist with clinical tasks, streamline workflows, and help ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. Responsibilities: Prepare exam rooms and patient care areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully stocked. Assist providers with patient care by performing diagnostic tests, recording vital signs, and preparing/administering medications. Review patients' medical history, gather updated health information, and document findings in the EHR while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Perform administrative tasks, including processing medical record requests, coordinating specialist visits and referrals, and managing patient check-in/check-out. Educate patients by explaining medical instructions, post-care guidelines, and preventive care measures. Must be willing to alternate work sites between Columbus and Groveport. Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in a clinical support/addiction medicine role. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members effectively. Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. Technical Skills: Familiarity with medical software and equipment.
