Certified Medical Assistant The Medical Assistant performs routine clinical and administrative duties to support the assigned clinic or office, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient daily operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent (required) Current CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire Required Skills Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress clinical environment Ability to take appropriate action in urgent situations Essential Functions Assist physicians and nurses with patient assessments and treatments Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to clinical staff Accurately document patient care and clinical activities Maintain medical equipment and supplies, including ordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting Keep exam rooms clean, organized, and prepared for patient care. Perform administrative and clerical duties as assigned, including scheduling, reception, data entry, filing, and patient registration.
