PLEASE NOTE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN ITS ENTIRETY FOR FURTHER CONSIDERATION OF THIS POSITION - THIS INCLUDES THE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION PROFILES AFTER CLICKING SUBMIT The Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa Department of ENT is seeking a full time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to work as a team member within our busy practice.   Primary duties for this position include but are not limited to:  * Prepare charts and documentation in advance of patient appointments * Greet and room patients while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment * Record vital signs and other essential health data accurately * Maintain and update patients’ electronic health records including medications, allergies, past medical history, family history, and review of systems * Document physician exam findings, procedures, and diagnostic codes accurately * Process and send prescriptions to pharmacies * Handle patient and pharmacy nursing calls professionally and efficiently * Assist in running daily clinic operations * Enter and manage patient orders, referrals, and prescriptions * Track and log test results and patient progress notes * Communicate with referring providers, primary care physicians, and surgical centers as needed The leading candidate will demonstrate behaviors reflective of PCI’s culture including, demonstrating a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care, collaborating effectively with team members, and maintaining a high standard of reliability and professionalism. Excellent communication skills are essential. Candidates must be or become proficient in the use of computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR). Current Certified Medical Assistant required. Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, ENT experience a plus.
