Description The Medical Assistant supports providers and clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care within a fast-paced urology specialty practice. This role is responsible for both clinical and administrative duties, including patient intake, assisting with procedures, coordinating care, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrives in a team-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper stocking of clinical supplies Assist providers with urologic procedures and in-office treatments Perform clinical tasks such as injections, catheter care, bladder scans, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing as directed Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) Coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, and follow-up appointments Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and post-procedure instructions Handle incoming clinical calls and triage messages appropriately Maintain infection control standards and OSHA compliance Support front office functions as needed, including scheduling and patient check-in Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office or specialty practice preferred Urology or surgical specialty experience strongly preferred Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to assist patients with mobility as needed Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds What We Offer: Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits package (for eligible full-time employees) Supportive team environment Opportunities for growth within a specialty practice
