Description Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing team. The CMA plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care by supporting physicians and advanced practice providers with both clinical and administrative duties. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and chief complaints. Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure timely patient flow. Assist physicians and providers during examinations and minor procedures. Perform clinical procedures including injections, EKGs, venipuncture, specimen collection, wound care, dressing changes, and point-of-care testing as directed. Administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the provider and within scope of practice. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Review provider schedules and prepare patient charts before appointments. Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments. Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, procedures, and preventive health measures. Clean, disinfect, and stock examination rooms and clinical supplies. Maintain infection control standards and comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and company policies. Assist with prescription refill requests according to provider protocols. Respond to patient phone calls and portal messages in a timely and professional manner. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards. Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) certification. Current BLS/CPR certification. Minimum of one (1) year of clinical medical assistant experience preferred. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Preferred Experience in a specialty medical practice. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong clinical and patient assessment skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with providers and staff. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control, and clinical safety standards. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Frequent use of hands for clinical procedures and computer work. Ability to assist patients with mobility when necessary.
