Responsibilities As a CMA you will assist physicians with patient care, perform routine clinical tasks, and ensure smooth office operations. You will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment. Additional duties include: Patient Care: Take and record patient medical histories. Measure and monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate). Prepare patients for exams and assist healthcare providers during procedures. Clinical Duties: Administer injections, vaccines, and medications as directed by physicians. Collect and prepare lab specimens (e.g., blood, urine) for testing. Perform basic diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, vision tests). Sterilize and maintain medical instruments. Administrative Duties: Schedule patient appointments and manage the office calendar. Answer phones, take messages, and handle patient inquiries. Manage patient records, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and confidential. Process billing and insurance claims, including coding and verifying patient information. Patient Education: Provide patients with instructions for medications, procedures, and follow-up care. Educate patients on health management and preventive care. Qualifications Current Certification as a Medical Assistant - CMA (NCCT, NHA, AAMA, RMA (AMT) High school diploma. BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification. Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments. #UPC123
